Is Brown chic?

Maybe it is, maybe it isn’t—but I am definitely feeling it lately. I’ve also been discovering designers I’d never heard of before, and while I’m not mad about it… my wallet might be. (Though Alex did spoil me with one of these pieces, so I’ll allow it. snickers)

I even find myself resisting the word brown. How about chocolate? Maybe sepia? Whatever we call it, this shade has me sauntering like I belong on a runway—and you can too. Just hop over to the Très Chic and Dubai events.

First up, from the Dubai event, created by Mermalade, the Cozy Curve dress. This sculpted, off-the-shoulder mini drapes like liquid across the body, balancing softness with quiet strength. The asymmetrical neckline bares one shoulder, offering a subtle yet confident sensuality, while the long sleeves ground the look in understated elegance.

Cinched at the waist, a wide, weathered leather belt steals the spotlight—rich chocolate brown, studded with metal eyelets. It anchors the silhouette, adding texture and a touch of rebellion to the sleek canvas. I paired it with one of my forever-favorite staples: the Suede Chocolate Thigh-High Boots from Maitreya.
